NIC COLLINS
Nic Collins is a writer, director, producer, and editor whose work blends cinematic storytelling, character-driven drama, and immersive world-building across film, television, music, and digital media. With roots in Chicago’s underground hip-hop and punk scenes, his work is defined by noir aesthetics, grounded realism, and sonic storytelling—where music and sound design aren’t just background elements, but integral to the emotional experience.
He is the co-creator, writer, and director of the SXSW Official Selection Beached and the Adult Swim animated series Thoron the Conqueror. As creative producer and lead editor for Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway, The Undertaker’s official podcast, he helped it become the #1 sports podcast worldwide and #7 overall, drawing millions of listeners and establishing it as a major revenue-generating property. He has also produced and edited over 100 episodes of the Shorty Award-winning digital series E!'s The Rundown.
Across his body of work, his projects have amassed over 100 million views online and been featured on major media platforms such as UPROXX, Sports Illustrated, and ScreenCrush. His writing has been selected for the Sundance New Voices Lab, ScreenCraft competitions, and The Black List.
Currently, Nic is in post-production on Season 2 of Thoron the Conqueror while expanding into new podcasts, films, and television projects.
When he manages to step away from his work, you can find him ringside at a local pro wrestling event, getting lost in ‘80s comic books (probably something by Grant Morrison), or bellied up to Kura Revolving Sushi Bar.
